Yesterday morning I had breakfast with my friend, Robert Carreon. He is very much involved in the theater scene, and one conversation with him is like being hit with a creative tsunami. He gave me a book called “Then and Now” which compares 83 New York locations at two different points in history: Around the turn of the Century and 1975. It gave me a huge impetus to get out there and photograph. This photograph is one that I took today while walking around New York City.
Young Professional Mass with Cardinal Dolan (6.5.2013)
Cardinal Dolan gave a powerful homily about a woman who lost everything by following Christ. Musical accompaniment was provided by L’Angelus, a southern Catholic band. After Cardinal Dolan introduced them he cracked, “And look they even have shoes!” I am looking forward to photographing the next Young Professional Mass which will be held this coming Wednesday, and will post loads of photos!
